Accourding to the historical events based on this temple it is revealed since ancient time there was a perahera feast under the patronage of Kings and Ministers.It was clear in 60-70 decades.In order to endow the cultural heritage for the future generation, the perahera feast started again in 2019 and hope to continue annually named as "Bingiriya Maha Perahera"the accient relics of the temple are kept on the tusker's back and move along the street with great honour in order to get blessings.
