Sacred Boo Tree
The sacred tree is the only living monument used by the lord Buddha among the five relic building found in ancient Sri Lanka. This is one of the Oldest Bo tree in the area dating back to the Anuradhapura period. The Bodhi tree was in this place long before the king Agbo I st restoration at the Devagiri Rajamaha Viharaya in Bingiriya. Also, the Bo tree which is made higher than earth level, features the ancient Bo tree.
